Anthony , Paul Douglas

Paul Douglas Anthony, 83, of Enfield, the husband of Barbara Anthony passed at Bay State Medical Center on December 17, 2022. Paul and Barbara married in 1962. Their strong happy marriage lasted 60 years and brought them two children: Paul (Eun) Anthony of Enfield and Lisa (Tim) Sheridan of Avon. Paul also leaves his sisters Candy (Bob), Joan and brother Seth. In addition, Paul leaves

his loving sister-in law Marcie and brother in-law Tony Medeiros and their three children. Paul was the very proud and loving grandfather of four grandsons Paul (Brit) Anthony, Matthew (Rachel) Anthony, Ben Sheridan

and Austin Sheridan and Great Grandsons Hayes and Miles Anthony. They were an immense joy and light in his life. He found pleasure in a great many other things besides his family, including boating, fishing, watching sports (Boston Red Sox/ Patriots), Lobsters and Rhode Island where his family enjoyed many happy vacations. His greatest love was family, animals and being on the ocean. Babies and dogs loved Paul. Paul also enjoyed keeping everyone laughing with his robust sense of humor and frequent practical jokes. After high school Paul realized he wanted to be an engineer and attended the University of Rhode Island where he earned a bachelors degree in engineering and later earned a masters degree in engineering from UCONN. He spent his final

years with Barbara by his side and their loving caregiver Marlene. Paul's family is grateful for the comfort and Joy Marlene provided. Paul left the world having

lived to make it a better place and he will be sorely missed.
