Laszlo Bartos, 67, loving husband and best friend for over 37 years of Deborah Ann (Bartku) Bartos, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Laszlo was born on November 23, 1955, in Komlo, Hungary, one of six loving children of the late Estvan Bartos and Hortenzia (Talasz) Karolyi of Toms River, NJ. He was raised in New Jersey and was a graduate of Cliffside Park High School. Prior to his retirement in 2021, Laszlo had been employed as a Warehouse Manager for the Red Thread Company, Technology Division, in East Hartford. Laszlo was a former Assistant Scout Master for Troop 2020 in Vernon when his oldest son was in the Boy Scouts. When his sons were younger, he proudly beamed from the sidelines as a recreation­al soccer and basketball coach. He was an avid fisherman, gardener, and all-around outdoorsma­n. As a rock music lover, he played guitar and was a big AC/DC fan. He was a devoted Las Vegas Raiders fan and was captivated by the History Channel,

namely Ancient Aliens, American Pickers, and Pawn Stars. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family and friends. Laszlo was a kind and wonderful soul. He will be deeply missed by all that were lucky enough to know him. In addition to his wife and mother, Laszlo leaves his two beloved sons, Christophe­r M. Bartos and Nicholas S. Bartos, both of Vernon, and two loved and cherished grandsons, Colton Richard Bartos and Trevor Laszlo Bartos, also of Vernon. Laszlo also leaves his four siblings: Violet Lugo and her husband Ralph of Hopatcong, NJ; Donna Barritta and her husband Johnny of Toms River, NJ; Zolton Bartos of Toms River, NJ; and Tony Bartos and his wife Patty, also of Toms River, NJ, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families and his extended family and friends who he adored and treasured. In addition to his father, he was predecease­d by his sister Kathy Riccardi and his stepfather Bela Karolyi.The family of Laszlo would like to thank his care team at St. Francis Hospital for their compassion and care of Laszlo through his journey with cancer. Also, thanks to the Visiting Nurse & Health Service of CT for their exemplary Hospice care.
