Eva Louise (Hebert) Martin, 97, of Southingto­n, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on December 15, 2022. She was born on March 7, 1925 in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada, to the late Vitale and Laura (Cyr) Hebert. She was the wife of the late Reginald

Martin.

Eva worked at Pratt & Whitney & K-Lart Victor as an administra­tor. She also was the office manager for the family business, Modern Counter Tops & Cabinets, where she worked for 15 years. Upon retirement, she traveled to Florida with her husband and played golf on a daily basis. One of Eva's greatest joys was spending time with family. She had a special way of making

everyone feel welcome and was loved by all who knew her. She was a true lady and displayed this to her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening, making an occasional trip to the casino and to Northern Maine in which she always referred to as “home”. Eva will be

remembered for her quick wit, generosity and ability to make people laugh.

She is survived by her sons, Marc Martin and his partner,

Vivian O'Meara of Plymouth, Louis Martin and his wife, Ruth of Wolcott and Robert Wesselman and his partner,

Robin; her 6 grandchild­ren, Brittani and Kristina, Neil and Nicole, Chris and Jason; 7 great grandchild­ren, and one sister Bertile Chamberlan­d of St. Agatha ,ME. She

is predecease­d by her son, Albert Martin, her 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

A heartfelt thank you to all who expressed love and concern for Eva and her family during her final days. Also a special thank you to her care team from The Key (formerly Companion and Homemakers) and from

Masonicare Home Health & Hospice.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecch­ia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southingto­n to St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Rd., Southingto­n for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery.
