She was born in Worcester, MA on November 18, 1926 to Lewis and Flora Gabree. Gladys is survived by her sister Patricia Spielman, and her many children, grandchild­ren – John Waddock (Jacquelyn), Patricia Haag (Ben), Kathleen Yasevac (Joseph), Michael Waddock (Olga), Mark Waddock (Qi), and Carey Thompson (Michael), grandchild­ren Erika Haag, Daniel Yasevac (Sharon), Emily Bishop (Eric), Kristin Heidel (Greg), Kelly Waddock, Dylan and Taylor Thompson, and Katie Waddock.

She is also survived by six great grandchild­ren and many nieces and nephews. She was predecease­d by Norbert her loving husband and best friend of nearly 70 years, youngest son Paul, her brothers Donald, Edward,

Richard and sister Barbara.

Ms. Waddock worked Pinchbeck's Rose Farm.

On Tuesday December 6, 2022, Gladys Waddock passed away peacefully at Connecticu­t Hospice in Branford.

Upon their retirement, she and Norbert had the opportunit­y to live in Vero Beach, FL, John's Island, SC and Renvyle, County Galway, Ireland.

A kind and gentle soul, Gladys aka “Gigi” lived a full life

as a wonderful mother, wife, and homemaker. She was an avid reader who also loved to cook, knit, spend time

with family and friends and make people laugh.

Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 7 at 10:00 AM at St George Church, 33 Whitfield St, Guilford. Burial will follow later in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford.
