Goodwin, Marco Francesco

On Saturday, December 10 2022, Marco Francesco Goodwin, amazing husband, step-father, brother and son, passed away at the young age of 54 after a heroic battle with cancer.

Marco was born on February 12, 1968 in Staten Island, New York. He spent his youth in Farmington Ct and vacationed in Brescia, Italy. He loved Brescia and had many beautiful memories of that time in his life.

Marco went to Farmington High School, and graduated from UCONN. He then traveled the country on his motorcycle and become a student of life instead of getting a boring desk job! His tales of living all over this country could fill a book! He found his home in the warmth of Arizona where he spent many years soaking up the sun and exploring the beautiful landscape.

Marco left Arizona to be with his wife, Lindsey Goodwin and step-son, Alex Newhall in Connecticut where he spent the remainder of his life. He loved his family fiercely.

He is survived by his mother, Mickey Schlesinger; father, Jack Goodwin; brother Marshal Schlesinger; step-mother Jean Goodwin; wife Lindsey Goodwin; step-son Alex Newhall. He is also survived by his in-laws Susan Broen, Galen Pryzbek, Jennifer Pryzbek and Robert Broen who loved Marco like their own son. Along with many friends and family, Marco had a remarkable ability to connect with people, share himself and evoke that same spirit of love in each person he knew.

Per Marco's request, a memorial will happen in the late Spring or early Summer. He was a lover of the sun and warmth and wanted to have his service outdoors.
