Judith M. (Beiermeister) Heinke, 78, of Southington beloved wife of Allan Heinke Jr., passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, January 6, 2023 at MidState Medical Center in Meriden. She was born March 11, 1944 in Morristown, NJ, and was the daughter of the late Clifford and Susan (Sabol) Beiermeister.

Judy was an avid gardener and she loved to play tennis. She loved being part of the auto racing community, whether she was in the middle of the action, perched high on her tall chair right next to the hauler, or she was helping to perform duties during a pit stop. Judy was passionate about the sport, and she truly loved her racing family. Over the years, she and Al traveled all over the country to watch and cheer on many racing teams, and it was by his side that she was happiest. Judy enjoyed watching her children and her grandchildren compete in all of their sporting events, and she was a constant fixture standing at the glass in the corner, vigilantly watching hundreds of hockey games. After every game, although tiny in stature, she was there with a smile, a great big hug and a “Good Game”! In addition to her husband Allan, she leaves her two sons, Allan Heinke III and wife Lisa of Southington and Michael Heinke (Stacie) of Old Saybrook; six grandchildren, Justin, Timothy, Emily, Danielle, Chelsea and Michael along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Clifford and Donald.

The Heinke family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Winnie Adu for providing Judy with the ability to remain in her home throughout her illness. She and Judy kept a busy schedule which included grocery shopping, running errands throughout the town, and trips to their favorite salon. Judy loved spending time with Winnie, who was so much more than just her caretaker. Winnie has been with the Heinke family since 2007 when she started taking care of Al's mother. In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy's name may be made to: Southington Community Services, 91 Norton St., Plantsville, CT 06479 or CT Alzheimer's Assoc., 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489. Services for Judy were held privately for her family. The DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington assisted with the arrangements.
