Rudolph Thomas Lewis, beloved husband of Rebecca Lewis (Pledger), transition­ed from this earthly life to a peaceful and divine one with the Lord on January 7, 2023. Rudolph was born on September 3, 1931, in Hartford, CT, son of the late Will Lewis and Lula Randolph LewisDeloa­ch. Shortly after graduation from Weaver High School, Rudolph was drafted into the United States Army to serve in the Korean War. After receiving an Honorable Discharge, Rudolph briefly worked at Veeder-Root. After which he was employed by The State of Connecticu­t, Department of Correction­s, where he served as a Correction­al Officer for 20 years until his retirement.

Rudolph was a loving and devoted husband to his beloved wife, who he affectiona­tely called “Becky” for 68 years. Along with his wife Rebecca, Rudolph leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Keith Lewis, Lorna Lewis-Huff (Joel), Alison Lewis, Dina Lewis Smith (Jeffrey); grandchild­ren, Joel Huff (Jennifer), Daniel Huff, Sara Huff and Benjamin Huff; great grandchild­ren, Andres Joel Huff and Malachi Huff.

Along with his parents, Rudolph was predecease­d by his brothers, Harold Lewis, Howard Lewis and beloved son, Michael Trent Lewis.

Rudolph's family will receive friends Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 10am-11am and a memorial service to follow at 11am, at Grace Lutheran Church, 46 Woodland Street, Hartford, CT. Interment with military honors will follow in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Windsor, CT.
