Betty Lou was born in Bristol, CT on March 13, 1935 to the late Louis and Dorothy (Jones) Prouty. She attended St. Joseph Grammar School and was a 1952 graduate of Bristol High School. The warm love of her animals over the years offered her happiness and comfort.

She is survived by her favorite nephew, Paul Nixon (Heather) of West Townsend, MA, her nieces, Pam Rutherford of Pembroke, MA, Mary Goehring (Michael) of Clover, SC, Leslie Nixon of Seaside, CA and Lynn Pietrowicz of Windsor, CT, as well as several great nieces/nephews, cousins and her sweet kitty, Maxi.
