Purchasing a new, custom-built home in Bayberry Crossing in Manchester gives the buyer the opportunity to receive the actual true value of the home without potentially overpaying for an older home that may need repairs or updates. Another advantage to buying new is to avoid what could be an arduous bidding war for an existing home.

“You are not bidding on a house. You are paying the true value of the home for the current time,” says Boynton Construction Inc. Vice President Jonathan Boynton, referring to the custom homes his company is building in the Bayberry Crossing development. “You’re getting a new roof, a new furnace. You’re not overpaying for an existing house.”

Located in a beautiful and idyllic setting, Bayberry Crossing offers high-quality construction with personal customization by the homeowner. Buyers get to choose from several varieties of capes, colonials or ranch styles. In addition, a new ranch option will be presented that offers a fresh look and layout, and an office, which could be used as flex space, Boynton says.

“We wanted to add another plan, create some diversity to the look of the homes,” Boynton says of the new ranch style. “It’s another plan that captures all the amenities people are asking for.”

Homes in Bayberry Crossing range from 2,000 to 2,600 square feet and afford up to four bedrooms, two-or-two-and-a-half bathrooms, two garages, full basements with walkout options and your choice of a composite deck or a concrete paver patio.

“Homeowners love the homes, the floor plans and the flexibility,” Boynton says. “This is an opportunity for people to get a floor plan they’ve always desired.”

Upon entering the front door, the attention to detail and high-end elements are immediately noticeable. There are nine-foot ceilings, hardwood floors, custom trim accents, oversize windows, gas fireplaces and many storage areas.

The spacious kitchens are perfect for entertaining.

They include stainless appliances, soft-close cabinetry with some pullout drawers, granite countertops, crown molding, a walk-in pantry, a gas stove and a large central island with pendant lighting, lots of storage and ample seating.

The primary suites with walk-in closets can be located on the main level or on the second floor. The additional bedrooms provide single or double closets. The bathrooms are expansive and offer tile flooring and quartz or granite countertops.

All the homes in Bayberry Crossing operate highefficiency gas furnaces and hot water heaters. Energyefficient insulation and multi-zone heating and cooling systems (in the two-level home styles) help to offset the rising energy costs. A humidification system is standard on all furnaces. Buyers also enjoy that natural gas, and public water and sewer, are standard in the homes.

Currently, the development is entering its third and final phase. When complete, Bayberry Crossing will consist of 44 single-family home sites located on 30 acres, including a 10-acre backdrop remaining in its undisturbed, natural state.

Although Bayberry Crossing is close to modern conveniences, shopping, restaurants, entertainment and recreation, the development is private, serene and set back from the road. The neighborhood of homes are spread out on Bayberry Road, Wilson Way and a new cul-de-sac, Mason Circle, in its center.

“We are an open community to people of all ages,” Boynton says. The neighborhood has a mix of families, middle-age adults and seniors. “It’s a nice blend of all age groups.”

Another good reason for building a home in this development is that buyers own their property. The homes in Bayberry Crossing sit on an average of one-third to two-thirds of an acre. And there are no HOA fees.

Founded in the mid-1980s, Boynton Construction

Inc., family owned and operated in Vernon, strives to furnish buyers with custom homes to match their individual lifestyles. The company specializes in creating residential developments such as Bayberry Crossing, in addition to active adult communities, condominiums and single-family homes. With Boynton Construction, your home will have your vision and be a place for you to express yourself in ways you never imagined.

“You will be happy with the outcome and the product,” Boynton adds. “We are a family business and enjoy working with our customers.”

Despite ongoing supply-chain issues in the construction industry, Boynton Construction continues to deliver new homes within six months. Boynton cites the company’s established reputation as a quality builder and developer, long-standing relationships with suppliers and the ability to accurately plan ahead to offset any delays associated with receiving materials.

“Our customers tell us they are amazed we can meet the closing dates,” he adds.

Kristyn Boynton Congelos, who oversees sales and selections for the company, says some past buyers had looked at other developments underway around the state. However, they chose to build a home in Bayberry Crossing because they are “impressed with the amenities, quality work and designs offered by Boynton Construction.”
