Beverly Magelaner, 88 of Vero Beach, FL passed away on March 17, 2023 surrounded by her family at home.

Beverly was born on April 17,1934. She grew up in Wethersfie­ld, CT. Bev studied to be an administra­tive assistant and graduated from Morse School of Business in 1952.

Beverly married her husband Louis Magelaner in 1955. Together they recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversar­y. They often would say "they were just getting to know each other."

Beverly went on to have 4 children Tom, Marianne, Pam and Lisa. She dedicated her life to raising her family. She was a Sunday school teacher, girl scout leader and cub scout leader. She never missed a special date or children's event.

Bev was incredibly creative. Whether writing stories, sewing her daughter's wedding dresses, knitting or making crafts for local charities; her creative talents were always impressive.

Once retired, Bev and her husband moved to Brewster MA where her talents as a gardener shone. She was a member of the Brewster Garden Club. Her spectacula­r gardens were featured in the annual Cape Cod Garden Tour. Bev was also an avid fisherman. She was known by family and friends as "The Lady of the Lake".

Bev and her husband moved to Sea Oaks Community in 1999. There they both enjoyed playing tennis with many friends. Together they also cruised many countries enjoying each other, the beautiful scenery and other cultures of the world.

Beverly is survived by her husband Louis Magelaner of Vero Beach; Her brother Conrad Winalski and wife Eleanor of Cromwell CT; her son Thomas Magelaner and wife Janet of Uniontown Ohio; daughter Marianne Valle and husband Al of Fairhaven MA; daughter Pamela Neary and husband Doug of South Windsor CT; daughter Lisa Magelaner of Brewster MA.

She is also survived by her beloved grandchild­ren Alyssa Valle, Brian Valle, Jessica Magelaner, Kate Magelaner, Courtney Dickerson, Colin Dickerson, Colin Neary.

She was most proud to say she was Great Nana to her beloved only great grandson Archie Dickerson who brought her immense joy in her last year.

Beverly will be missed by her family and friends but will always be remembered and cherished for her kind and loving spirit.

The family is exceptiona­lly grateful for the care provided by Dr Howard Tee and his staff.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at Strunk Funeral Home, 1623 North Central Avenue, Sebastian, Florida 32958.
