Frank J. Nascimbeni, 92, of Burlington, beloved husband of his high school sweetheart, the late Theresa (Dlubac) Nascimbeni, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023. Born in Hartford, son of the late Alfonso and Catherine (Castellani) Nascimbeni. He lived in Avon from 1932 until moving to Burlington in 1992. Frank graduated from Canton High School in 1948 where he excelled at both Football and Baseball. He served in the National Guard from 1951 to 1957. Frank graduated from Hartford Regional Technical College and spent most of his career as a Product Engineer at the former Arrow Hart Electric Company in Hartford, now Cooper Industries, while simultaneously working for Geitz Engineering in the 1970's. He later worked at Gaynor Electric in Thomaston as Chief Engineer until retirement, staying on as a consultant into his 80's. Frank was a friend to many people, young and old, with his caring, nonjudgmental way of providing comfort. He often lent a hand with household projects, especially involving machinery. Frank was a problem solver; there was nothing he couldn't fix, enjoying the challenge. He took pride in his vegetable gardens through the years and was a master at wood fire cooking. He and his wife Theresa loved the New England seasons. As a family we would hike Avon Mountain and were skiing and ice skating at a young age. He was also known for his hobby of restoring beautiful antique furniture, including mastering the lost art of caning and rushing chair seats. Frank will truly be missed. Frank is survived by his three daughters: Lisa Bauer and husband David of Avon, Deborah Kriss and husband Gregory of Canton, Donna Quinion and husband Brett of Litchfield; his seven grandchildren, Kristen Phelps and husband Brendan, Jeffrey Bauer and wife Lais Carpenter, Michelle Stearns and husband Ethan, Gregory Quinion and wife Alissa, Heather Nketia and husband Anthony, Sandra Quinion, Brittany Bessette and husband Mitch and 12 great grandchildren. Frank's family will receive friends Friday, March 24, 2023, from 5-7 PM at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Road, Avon. Family and friends may gather Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 10:00 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. Ann, 289 Arch Road, Avon. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Tunnel To Towers, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306. For directions or condolences please visit www.carmonfuneralhome.com.
