Roger N. Mahannah Sr., 85, of Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 29, 2023 with his son and daughter by his side. Born in Bristol, CT on September 15, 1937, son of the late Marion J. (Rogers) Mahannah and Norman C. Mahannah, Roger grew up in Farmington, CT and was a graduate of Farmington High School, Class of 1955. He was a member of the National Guard and a life long Episcopali­an. Roger retired as a General Supervisor after 32 years of employment for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Engine in Southingto­n. He was very proud of his work for Pratt and Whitney and shared many experience­s and stories fondly throughout his retirement years. Roger spent his retirement summers at his cabin in Surry Maine fishing, clamming and spending time with friends and family. In the winters he resided in Florida where he enjoyed the beaches, golfing, and numerous travel adventures. Roger was a member of the Moose Lodge and President/ Treasurer of Seascape Condominiu­m Associatio­n. At Seascape he resided over many large improvemen­t projects and hurricane reparation­s. Roger enjoyed researchin­g the family genealogy and attending family reunions. He was a Civil War enthusiast and a master bird house builder, many of which he shared lovingly with family and friends.

Roger is survived by his dear friend and partner Marianne Bukowski of Ormond Beach, FL, his brother Lee F. Mahannah of Farmington, CT, his sister Laurel J. (Mahannah) Duncan of Cromwell, CT, two children Roger N. Mahannah Jr. of Aiken, SC, Elizabeth (Mahannah) Contenta of Pittsfield, MA, and four step children, Lorraine Dlubac of Bristol, CT, Henry (Cecil) Farnham of Bristol, CT, Georgina Grice of Bristol, CT, and Tracey Balukas of Burlington, CT. Roger was also a grandfathe­r to 4 grandchild­ren and several step-grandchild­ren. Roger was predecease­d his wife Diane Mahannah and his brother Wayne A. Mahannah.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 at 9:30 AM in Riverside Cemetery, Garden Street, Farmington, CT. Close friends and family are welcome to attend.
