Elizabeth Perera (Sitka) affectiona­tely known as Liz , passed away unexpected­ly at the age of 65 in her Bristol home on Thursday, February 22, 2024, with her cherished companion, dog “Buzzy” by her side. Liz was born in Bristol, CT on October 28, 1958, the daughter of the late George Stanley Sitka, and is survived by her mother, Jean (Weber) Maher. Liz graduated from Bristol Eastern High School in 1977. She began her career at CB&T in Hartford and later Eversource, where she held an administra­tive roll dedicating over 36 years of her life in the gas div. She loved her job and cherished the camaraderi­e of her colleagues. Beyond her profession­al life, Liz was known for her green thumb, always maintainin­g the prettiest yard adorned with an array of plants she knew by their official names. She was a great decorator, loved shopping for bargains and enjoyed cooking something special for the holidays. Liz is survived by her two brothers and their wives, Robert and Song Sitka, two step sons Peter and Mike, David and Karen Sitka and their children, Bryan Sitka and Bethany who is married to Nicolas Montesdeoc­a, along with aunts, uncles and many cousins. Liz had a big heart and loved her family. We’re all so deeply saddened that she is no longer with us. We love you and you will forever be in our hearts.

Calling hours are on March 14, 2024 from 10:00 - 11:30 AM with a service at Dunn Funeral Home, Bristol, at 11:30 AM followed by a committal service in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Donations can be made to St. Jude. org
