Bagley, Margareta (Koloski)
Margareta ‘Peg’ (Koloski) Bagley, 87, of East Windsor, beloved wife to the late John Bagley, mother to Karin, Paul, Jeff, and Jennifer, and grandmother to Grace, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, March 11, 2024. Peg was born in New Britain, on November 3, 1936, daughter to the late Joseph and Emma (Hausrath) Koloski.
Peg grew up in New Britain and Kensington, and was a graduate of St. Matthew’s Lutheran School, Berlin High School, and the Teachers College of Connecticut. She met the love of her life, John Bagley, at ballroom dance lessons and they were married on June 15, 1957. Together they lived in Tolland for over 41 years before moving to East Windsor in 2002. Peg worked in the Tolland school system before teaching at and later running the Trinity Lutheran Church preschool program for many years. Peg was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Vernon and the East Windsor Senior Center. She could always be found in the kitchen - baking, canning, and cooking meals for all to enjoy. In her younger years, she enjoyed hiking, camping, and traveling with John and family members. As she grew older, she found happiness in making puzzles, reading, and playing games. Throughout her life, she treasured spending time at the family cottage in Maine with dear friends. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she will be dearly missed.
Peg leaves her children, Karin Marquis and her husband Ronald of Salem, Paul Bagley of Wethersfield, Jeffrey Bagley of Enfield, and Jennifer Bagley of Somers as well as her beloved granddaughter, Grace Bagley. A memorial service for Peg will be celebrated on Saturday, April 13, 2024, beginning at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 20 Meadowlark Rd., Vernon. There will be no calling hours and burial will be held privately.
