Pizzoferrato, Virginia (Casale)
Virginia (Casale) Pizzoferrato, left this world peacefully on March 28, 2024, just 3 weeks shy of her 94th birthday. Virginia was the wife of the late Anthony Pizzoferrato with whom she shared 67 wonderful years of marriage. Born and raised in Hartford, Virginia was a graduate of Bulkeley High School, Class of 1947, where she was quite proud of her Phi Beta Kappa status. After raising their family, she and ‘Tony’ moved to Wethersfield, where they lived happily for 37 years. For many years, Virginia loved being a secretary in several of the Hartford Public Schools. Virginia will be greatly missed by her loving children and their families: son, Peter Pizzoferrato and his wife, Cheryl, daughter, Joan Kane and her husband John and son, Philip Pizzoferrato and his wife Diana. She is also survived by three grandsons; Christopher Kane and wife, Lindsay, Timothy Kane and wife, Rufina, and Peter Pizzoferrato and wife, Shelley and six great grandchildren; Landen and Chase Kane, Grady and Stella Kane and Owen and Cooper Pizzoferrato. She also leaves her special sister-in-law, Myra Pizzoferrato, as well as, four nephews and two nieces. Virginia was also predeceased by her parents, Joseph Casale and Letizia (Seccareccia) Casale Simone, step father, Anthony Simone and her son, Anthony Pizzoferrato.
The family would like to extend their immense gratitude to the staff of The Residence at South Windsor Farms for their kind and compassionate care in Virginia’s final years.
