Babiarz, Carol J.
Carol Jean Babiarz, 82, lifelong resident of Windsor Locks, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital. Born at home in Windsor Locks on December 24, 1941, Carol was the daughter of the late James F. Gallerani and Jean L. (Campominosi) Gallerani. Carol graduated from Our Lady of Angels Academy in 1959 and furthered her education, earning an associate's degree from Bay Path College in 1961.
In her professional journey, Carol served as an executive secretary with Combustion Engineering before making a heartfelt decision to leave to care for her handicapped daughter. She later worked for Edwards Grocery before leaving to care for her mother afflicted with Alzheimer's, demonstrating her selflessness and boundless love.
Known for her culinary skills and infectious humor, Carol had a zest for life that touched everyone she encountered. Her passion for cooking and joy in sharing meals with loved ones brought warmth and laughter to gatherings.
Carol leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Stanley T. Babiarz; her daughter Cara Babiarz of Windsor Locks; her son James Babiarz and his wife Anna of Jackman, ME, along with their children Caleb, Joshua, Ariel, and James; and her daughter Leah Babiarz and her spouse Paul Riedi of Windsor Locks.
