Police: Man Had Sexual Contact With Two Girls
VERNON — A Rockville 55-year-old faces charges that he had sexual contact with two underaged girls, police said Wednesday — and investigators fear there are more victims out there.
Andrew Curtis of South Street in the Rockville section of Vernon was arrested on two warrants Monday, police said. One warrant charges him with three counts each of fourth-degree sexual assault and illegal sexual contact with a victim under 16, police said. The second charges him with one count of each of the same charges.
During an investigation that spanned several months, detectives learned that Curtis had engaged in “manipulative type behaviors over a period of time that subsequently led to unwanted sexual contact by Curtis,” police said. The investigation included interviews with alleged victims and witnesses, they said, and police served “multiple search warrants.”
The alleged assaults happened last year, according to court records.
Although police said they have evidence of Curtis’ relationship with two victims, they continue to investigate the case.
“Police are looking to speak to anyone who has additional information about Curtis as they continue to investigate,” police said in a news release.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Tommy Van Tasel at 860-872-9126 ext. 3767.
