Stefanowski Plans NYC Fundraiser
After two major events in Greenwich, Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob Stefanowski is expanding his fundraising to New York.
Stefanowski will be the guest of honor at the midtown Manhattan apartment of Noelle Nikpour, a Republican strategist who has appeared on Fox News Channel and other networks.
One of Connecticut’s top fundraisers, Leora Levy of Greenwich, is heading the effort in the same way that she worked on previous events including a major luncheon with the chairman of the Republican Governors Association at the famed Belle Haven Club on Greenwich’s waterfront.
The event will be on Sept. 26 at Nikpour’s home on Central Park South — one of the top addresses in Manhattan.
She will be joined by some of the biggest hitters in New York Republican circles, including attorney Ed Cox, the New York Republican State Committee chairman for the past nine years who is the son-in-law of the late President Richard Nixon. Other co-hosts include John Catsimatidis, the billionaire grocery store owner who ran in 2013 for mayor of New York, and Charlie Joyce, a millionaire and major Republican contributor.
The top contribution, under Connecticut law, is $3,500 per person. Others can join the luncheon, with sweeping views of Manhattan from the apartment, for $1,000 per person.
