Blagojevic’s big night a catalyst as Hartford routs New Hampshire

George Blagojevic had 13 points and 10 rebounds to lift the Hartford men's basketball team to a 70-50 America East win over New Hampshire on Thursday night at Durham, N.H.

J.R. Lynch had 18 points for Hartford (14-13, 7-5). Travis Weathering­ton added 11 points and John Carroll 10 for the Hawks. Nick Guadarrama scored a season-high 21 points and had 16 rebounds for the Wildcats (3-23, 1-12).

Saint Joseph, Conn., 91, Saint Joseph, Maine, 86: At Standish, Maine, Deslhawn Jackson Jr. had 23 points and Chris Childs 20 to lead the Blue Jays to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference semifinal win. St. Joe's, the tournament's seventh seed, will play at top seed Albertus Magnus on Saturday for the championsh­ip. Albertus advanced with a104-93 win over No. 4 Emmanuel.

Mount St. Mary’s 79. Central Connecticu­t State 66: At New Britain, Joe Hugley came off the bench to score 17 in the Blue Devils' Northeast Conference loss. Deion Bute had 15 points and Jamir Coleman 14 and11 rebounds for CCSU (11-17, 5-10).

Fairleigh Dickinson 81, Sacred Heart 63: At Teaneck, N.J., Mike Holloway Jr. had a career-high 35 points as Fairleigh Dickinson rolled to the Northeast Conference win. Koreem Ozier had 22 points for the Pioneers (12-16, 8-7). E.J. Anosike added 21points and 13 rebounds and Jare'l Spellman had three blocks.

Women

Quinnipiac 66, Rider 60: At Lawrencevi­lle, N.J., Paula Strautmane scored 17 points and the Bobcats won their 15th straight to remain undefeated in the America East Conference.

The Aryn McLure had 16 points for the Bobcats (20-6, 15-0).
