The Manchester Land Conservati­on Trust is holding a membership drive and invites all those interested to meet up Friday, Dec. 13 from 5:30 to 9 p.m., at Labyrinth Tap Room, 148 Forest St., Manchester, and enjoy

a free beer with the purchase of a membership or a $25+ donation. Membership supports the Trust in preserving open space in Manchester and five nearby towns for the benefit of the public. Holiday House Tour

The Woman’s Club of Woodbury hosts its 25th annual Holiday House Tour Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event includes an adventurou­s day visiting five unique homes and a contempora­ry barn decorated for the holidays and can stop at The Woodbury Senior Center for light refreshmen­ts and holiday baskets for purchase. The tour will take place regardless of the weather. Non-refundable ticket proceeds benefit scholarshi­ps and charitable and civic needs for tax purposes. Carousel art exhibit

A new exhibition features carousel art work of The Greenway Carousel in Boston and The Cullen Family Carousel in Detroit by Jeffrey Briggs, along with works from other carousels designed by Briggs. The exhibition showcases the contempora­ryprocess of carousel creation from conception to completion. The exhibition includes magnificen­t New England creatures such as the Eastern Gray Squirrel, Peregrine Falcon, and a Monarch Butterfly, and other works spanning Briggs’ 40 year career as sculptor and designer of carousels. $8 adults; $7 seniors; $7 students w/ ID; $5 children 2-14; Free children under 2. Twain’s Attic

An exhibition at The Mark Twain House & Museum celebrates the 90th anniversar­y of the organizati­on that saved, and still preserves, the home of one of America’s greatest writers. Visitors will be able to take a peek at 90 treasures from the “attic” to mark the occasion. The museum is exhibiting 90 objects from its collection to commemorat­e its 90 years of work in collecting, preserving, and interpreti­ng the life and times of Mark Twain/Samuel Clemens and his family.
