Mother’s Day will be celebrated at home this year, but you can still spoil the moms in your life with an impressive gourmet meal. These Connecticut restaurants and caterers are preparing special menus for the holiday.
Rooster Company, 1076 Main St., Newington, offers a picnic-style meal for Mother’s Day, including quiche Lorraine, baguette with sea salt butter, mixed greens, asparagus, potato and pasta salads, beef tenderloin roast, prosciutto with Vermont cheddar, carrot cake and fresh fruit. The $80 package feeds four. Other options like lazy rotisserie chicken and takeout mimosas (a bottle of prosecco and fresh OJ) are available.
