Mother’s Day will be celebrated at home this year, but you can still spoil the moms in your life with an impressive gourmet meal. These Connecticu­t restaurant­s and caterers are preparing special menus for the holiday.

Rooster Company, 1076 Main St., Newington, offers a picnic-style meal for Mother’s Day, including quiche Lorraine, baguette with sea salt butter, mixed greens, asparagus, potato and pasta salads, beef tenderloin roast, prosciutto with Vermont cheddar, carrot cake and fresh fruit. The $80 package feeds four. Other options like lazy rotisserie chicken and takeout mimosas (a bottle of prosecco and fresh OJ) are available. Millwright’s, 77 West St., Simsbury, offers a $135 meal for four, including a choice of protein (baked ham with champagne butter sauce, beef sirloin with horseradis­h cream, mustard and maple glazed salmon, East Coast cioppino) with buttermilk biscuits, smoked tomato soup, crab and lobster cakes, truffled mac and cheese, marinated vegetables and cinnamon blondies. Firebox and The Kitchen, 539 Broad St., Hartford, offer dinners for 4 to 6, packaged cold for reheating and available for curbside pickup. The menu features options like a

breakfast box with French toast bake and quiche, a Nashville hot chicken sandwich box, smoked salmon platter with bagels and toppings, baked salmon and grilled chicken dinners ($40 to $100.) The menu features sole roulade with lobster and crab stuffing, roasted tenderloin of beef, orecchiett­e pasta with spring vegetables, Satur Farms greens, house baked artisan bread and olive oil polenta cake with berries and crème chantilly. Cost is $45 per person. Additions are available, including mimosa kits, shrimp cocktail, whole roasted cauliflowe­r, hummus and vegetable platter and more. Offerings vary by restaurant, but include family-style brunch and dinner entrees, salads, sides, desserts, wines, and mimosa and bellini packages. Water St., New Haven, offers additional Mother’s Day specials to its new “weekender” takeout menu, with options like Florentine ravioli ($30; $70 for a family 4 pack); lobster salad ($45; $169 for 4 pack); 32-ounce center-cut roast NY strip ($75 for a 4 person serving) and Meyer lemon cheesecake ($30 for 4.)
