Vote the Democrats out of the Capitol
Regarding “Gov. Ned Lamont’s coronavirus-related emergency powers to be extended” [courant.com, Aug. 31]:
Because of atrocious and stranglehold decisions made by this governor, our state is in deep financial peril, much worse than before the virus.
Almost every state in the country recovered from the recession of 2008 but Connecticut. This was due to Democrat control for most of the past 45 years. Democrats can’t seem to stop spending, raising taxes and then spending that new revenue because of their horrific socialist agenda, which has hurt meaningful economic growth.
Unfortunately, this governor is not on the ballot this November. However, we can paralyze his agenda.
If you lost a loved one in a nursing home; if you had to wait in lines for food because you couldn’t afford it; if you’re a landlord not getting rent; if you are a renter that can’t afford your rent; if you lost your business; if you lost your job because of the inability of this governor to move forward to get our state opened up; if you’re still waiting for the elusive “Phase 3” to start; and if you feel less safe because Democrat legislators impugned and opposed our awesome police but can’t meet in person for anything else, then you must vote out the Democrat legislators and senators who gave him this unmitigated power for another five months.
If we don’t, the next step will be tolls, which will provide more revenue for their wanton spending. And how dare they collect their salaries while staying home and allowing this governor to rule like a dictator.
