It is with extremely heavy hearts that the family of Barbara (Devins) Fultz announces her passing on July 18, 2021. Born on March 28, 1952, Barb was the daughter of the late Francis and Germaine Devins. She was a proud graduate of Conard High School in West Hartford, CT and was employed as a Mortgage Banker for over 20 years. Upon retiring, she decided to fulfill her lifelong dream of opening her own gourmet dessert business. There is nothing in this world that Barb loved more than her family. A proud wife, mother and nana, Barb is survived by her wonderful and loving husband, James T. Fultz of Westerville, OH; her two daughters, Kara (Daniel) Turnipseed and Alexandra Cruz, both of Virginia Beach, VA; and the three joys of her life, her grandchildren, Nathan and Joseph Turnipseed and Elizabeth Rousseau; siblings, Rita (Daniel) Mcnamara, Michael (Denise) Devins and Marie (Douglas) Whalen; in-laws, Barbara Cruz, Patricia Cruz, Lisa Cruz and Phillip (Angie) Cruz; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved brother, Kenneth Devins; mothers-in-law, Wanda Humker & Ernestine Cruz; father-in-law, Antonio Cruz; and sisterin-law, Francis Martinez. Barb loved creating delicious meals and deserts (cheesecake for every occasion) for her family and friends. She also enjoyed volunteering for Westerville Fire, Westerville Police and for over 15 years, Barb was a sponsor for the Homeless Mother Day's Brunch where she provided all of the desserts. She was known to always be ready for a water-balloon fight with her grandchildren and travels with her husband. Barb possessed the patience and grace of a saint while her two daughters pranked each other with hilarious gifts, often using her as an unsuspecting accomplice. She stood strong until the very end that she did not have a favorite daughter, despite their multiple attempts over the years to prove they were the favored one. Most importantly, Barb was loved and will be greatly missed. Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, be like Barb and perform an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for someone in her name.
