Neely, Janet M.

Janet (Martin) Neely, 90, born on March 20, 1931, of Old Saybrook, CT died peacefully Friday, July 16, 2021 surrounded by her family. Janet was raised in West Hartford and was the daughter of the late Frank Martin and Bessie (Marsden) Martin. She graduated from Ona M. Wilcox School of Nursing and practiced as a registered nurse in Connecticut and Florida. Janet enjoyed traveling, especially to the Cayman Islands and spending time with her family. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast). (Ephesians 2:8,9). Janet leaves behind her daughter Gail Mancuso and her husband Jim of Cromwell, CT, her two sons Gregg Neely

and his wife Kathy of Old Saybrook, CT, and Bill Martin and his wife Jennifer of North Myrtle Beach, SC, along with grandchildren Brian, Beth, Megan, Lori, Stephen, Rebecca, and Kimberly and six great grandchildren. Janet was predeceased by her husband, Lewis Neely, and her four siblings.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Cypress Cemetery in Old Saybrook, CT. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church, P.O. Box 364, Old Saybrook, CT 06475. The Paul A.
