Davis, Glenn J
Glenn John Davis, 75, of East Hartford, CT (formerly of Glastonbury, CT) passed away on September 6, 2021 of a heart attack. Glenn was born on May 2, 1946 in Hartford, CT, the son of John Edward Davis and Marion Gladys Coste. He attended Glastonbury Public Schools and was a first clarinetist in the High School Band. He then attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA where he focused on the saxophone and received his degree in Music Arrangement. After that he attended Manchester Community College where he studied accounting. Beginning in his early twenties he pursued what became his passion of long-distance bicycle touring and photography which allowed him to interact with many people from various cultures. For years he worked as a seasonal accountant in order to indulge in multi-month bike expeditions in some of the most exotic countries around the world. He shared his adventures by narrating travel presentations at venues in
and around East Hartford, especially the East Hartford Senior Center. He also attended local concerts still feeding his love of music. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and leaves ten surviving first cousins: George Coste, Watchung, NJ, Kenneth Coste, Alpharetta, GA, Mark Coste, East Hartford, CT, Wayne Coste, Tariffville, CT, Marilyn Haney, Marlborough, CT, Steven Coste, Hayesville, NC, Jeanne Gagnon, Andover, CT, Susan Coste, Rocky Hill, CT, David Hattman, Rockport, TX and Linnea Davis Harris, Mt.
