Two shootings in Hartford
HARTFORD — City police were investigating two shootings Saturday, one on Magnolia Street and the other on Barbour Street.
In the first incident, at about 3:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Magnolia Street on a report of shots fired. The officers found evidence of gunfire and, while they were on scene, a victim arrived at an area hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds, police said in a statement. The victim, a male in his 30s, was listed in stable condition, police said.
Then, at about 4:17 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Barbour Street after receiving a Shotspotter activation, and a 60-year-old man with a gunshot wound was found there, police said. The victim was alert and conscious on scene and was taken to an area hospital for treatment, police said.
The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions are investigating both, police said.
