Children worth more than tax money from pot

I would like to add my voice to the readers who are responding with their negative opinions about legalizing marijuana. Pot is a mind-altering drug, addictive and expensive. Don’t we have enough of those substances available now and haven’t we all seen the results of the damage they have and will continue to cause? Why would anyone think the tax money is worth the misery this will cause by adding one more? Parents struggle to teach their young kids the dangers of such substances, why would our state legislators want the approval of such a law? Let’s do our part in helping to protect our students and children. That should be our priority, not the tax windfall.
