Police: Body recovered from Connecticut River in Hartford
Police confirmed Monday that a deceased person was pulled from the Connecticut River in Hartford Sunday.
Hartford Fire Department District Chief/ Public Information Officer Mario Oquendo, Jr. said companies responded to 20 Leibert Rd. at the north boat landing just before noon sunday.
“A deceased adult male was removed from the water at dock by Hartford Fire personnel,” Oquendo said.
Oquendo said Hartford police and the Chief State Medical Examiner’s office took control of the scene and were conducting the investigation.
“Fire companies had all cleared the scene shortly after,” Oquendo said.
A message seeking comment was sent to the state medical examiner’s office.
