Life will be easier when we are all-inclusive

Now that so many very capable Black women have reached extraordinary positions in federal and local government and in business, can we now please drop “First Black Woman” and move on to just recognize each individual as to whom they are and their accompaniments, as we do for white women [Page 2, May 10 “Avery sworn in as Connecticut’s 1st Black female U.S. Attorney”]? Time to drop these labels and just appreciate that the best of the best have been chosen for a particular position.

Life will be become much easier for everyone when we are all-inclusive.
