Anne O'connor Hutchins, 61, of Hartland, VT died at her home on Monday, May 16, 2022. She was born on August 23, 1960, in Huntington, NY to Richard Walsh and Patricia (Free) O'connor and spent her childhood in the West Hartford, CT area. She graduated from Princeton University in 1982 with a BA in Comparativ­e Literature and eventually attained her M.ED at Union Institute and University in Montpelier, VT. After college, she taught 6th grade at St. Mary's Hall in San Antonio, TX. She moved back to the Northeast and married Constantin­e "Tony" Hutchins III on August 22, 1987 at St. Peter Claver Church in West Hartford, CT. After moving to Hartland, she worked for the Vermont Law School and Dartmouth College in the Public Affairs and she taught at local schools until her retirement. She particular­ly loved teaching middle school English.

Anne was a talented and dedicated singer whose vocal range and pitch allowed her to be at home singing a wide variety of styles from classical and popular music

to jazz. Over the years, she sang with groups in Texas and the Northeast, including the Princeton Tigerlilie­s, the Feminine Tone, His & Hers, the Aces, and Mood Swings.

She is survived by her husband Constantin­e "Tony" Hutchins III of Hartland; her mother Patricia (Free) O'connor of West Hartford, CT; three children Constantin­e "Max" Hutchins IV of Hartland, Alison Blaine Hutchins of Greensboro, NC, and Frances Margaret "Maggie" Hutchins of Greensboro; three siblings Patricia "Pattie" O'connor of Manchester, CT, Richard O'connor and wife Tricia of Atherton, CA, and John O'connor of West Hartford, CT; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Richard Walsh O'connor.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Friday, June 10, 2022, at St. Peter Claver Church in West Hartford, CT and inurnment will immediatel­y follow at Fairview Cemetery.
