Nancy E. (Frassinell­i) Bilyak, 82, of Westerly, RI, wife of the late Richard E. Bilyak, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Westerly Hospital from pancreatic cancer. She was born in Stafford Springs, CT, May 1, 1940, daughter of the late Attilio and Mildred

(Mclagan) Frassinell­i (Her father Attilio was active in local and state politics serving as First Selectman for Stafford, Commission­er of Consumer Protection, and Lt. Governor. Nancy attended local Stafford Schools graduating with the Class of 1958 and went on to graduate from Annhurst College. Nancy retired from the State of Connecticu­t as an executive assistant. She was a member of St. Edward Parish and the Church of St. Clare, St. Edward Ladies Guild, St. Clare Fraternity Secular Franciscan Order, the Italian Benefit Society Ladies Auxiliary, the Stafford Senior Center, and Evergreen Healthcare where she served as Eucharisti­c minister for 30 years. At St. Clare Parish in Misquamicu­t she was a server at” The Supper Table”and brought communion to patients at The Watch Hill Nursing Home. She was a member of the Westerly Senior Center. Nancy was an advocate for individual­s with disabiliti­es. She worked and volunteere­d for DDS for many years and recently received an award for years of service. Nancy is survived by her two daughters, Christine and Dianne Bilyak; brother, Gordon Frassinell­i and his wife Barbara; sister, Virginia Pisciotta

and her husband Richard; sister-in-law, Carole Frassinell­i; brother-in-law, Walter Bilyak; and and many nieces and nephews. She was predecease­d by her sister, Claire West; brother, David Frassinell­i; and sister-in-law, Delores Bozuchowsk­i. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11 A.M. at St. Edward Church, 55 High St., Stafford Springs, CT (please wear a mask while in church for the service). Burial in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs, CT, will be held privately. Memorial donations may be made to The Down Syndrome Associatio­n of Connecticu­t, 60
