June Golden Reichle, 95, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2023 at her home at St. Joseph's Residence.
June lived a long, happy, and healthy life. She and her husband, Joseph Reichle Jr., spent their 43 years of marriage loving and devoted to each other. They raised their three daughters in the small, tight knit, community of Broad Brook, CT, where they were surrounded and supported by an enormous group of family and friends.
Side by side, June and Joe owned and ran The Barn Restaurant on Main Street in Broad Brook for many decades. Mom's blue ribbon winning apple pie was a special favorite of the customers. Joe left this world much too young and June found herself navigating a new life without him by her side. Her resilience, Catholic faith, devoted family, and countless number of supportive and loving friends, helped June bravely forge her new path. Sharing in the lives of everyone in her support system gave Mom great joy and purpose.
She is survived by her three beloved daughters and sons-in-law, Jacki and Dave Chvatal, Leisa and Marc Cosentino, and Molly and Pete Karlson. June also leaves her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Katie Williamson, Meg Clarke, Ali Galvin, Emily Lee, Colin Cosentino, Noah and Adam Drake, Liam and Lane Clarke, Ryan and Sammie Galvin, Brady Williamson, and Norah Lee. They all provided Grandma June with love and much laughter. June also is survived by her nieces and nephew, Holly Samociuk, Denise Feodorov, and Randy Fish. She was so very proud of her family.
One of the most important parts of June's life was her religion. She was a devoted member of St. Catherine Church in Broad Brook for many decades. Her religion and faith provided her with a loving, supportive community and an inner peace that kept Mom bright even in the dark moments.
Services will be held at St. Catherine Church on Monday, February 6th at 10am. Immediately following will be her burial at St. Catherine Cemetery. June and Joe are reunited.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Residence in Enfield, CT, the safe haven where Mom spent the last 7 years of her life. She spent those years loving, laughing, and relishing in the momentous ordinary along side her beloved St. Joseph's family. Her St. Joseph's family was a beautiful part of Mom's life. We are forever grateful for everything they each did to make her life there filled with love, care, and joy. May God bless them all.
