Krajewski, Mary J (Kuchyt)
Mary “Jeannie” Krajewski (Kuchyt) 92, formerly of Middletown, CT and beloved wife of Chester “Chet” Krajewski, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 2, 2023 at Middlesex Hospital with her family surrounding her. She was born in Higganum, CT on January 24, 1931 to the late Anthony and Anna Kuchyt. Jeannie is survived by her three daughters, Ronna Cannata, Cheryl Almeida and her husband Mark, Ann Mcelroy and her son, Gary Krajewski and his wife Susan. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Jamie Sierpinski, Jason Cannata, Mary Kate Almeida, Corry Almeida, Joshua Mcelroy, Zachary Mcelroy, Brendan Matthias, Kirsty O'sullivan and Kyle Krajewski. She was blessed with eight great-grandchildren, Owen and Gavin Sierpinski, Cora Cannata, Addison and Colton Mcelroy, John, Sam, and Chloe Mcelroy. She is also survived by two beloved sisters, Rose Driscoll and Patricia Budney as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Martin Kuchyt and two sisters, Betty Schroeder and Helen Marica. Jeannie was a loving, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt who took great pride in her family. She was a long-time parishioner at St. Mary's of Czestochowa church and for many years enjoyed singing in the church choir. In her younger days she worked at Zygo Corporation in Middlefield. She found great joy in attending numerous sporting events where she watched her children and grandchildren excel and especially enjoyed baseball. She was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed watching the Uconn woman's basketball team. Funeral services will be held from Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown, on Tuesday, (February 7th ) from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church in Middletown. Burial will be with her beloved husband in the State Veterans' Cemetery in Middletown.
