Lebanon man accused of threatening to kill co-worker
A Lebanon man who allegedly threatened to kill a co-worker at a commercial facility in Bozrah was arrested, according to Connecticut State Police.
Troopers went to the facility Saturday after two people went to Troop K in Colchester to report that an alleged threatening had occurred at a commercial facility on Fitchville Road in Bozrah, state police said. The facility was not named.
The complainant told troopers that, while working at the facility earlier that same day, a supervisor advised the complainant that another employee, later identified as Charles Adams, 37, of Lebanon, allegedly had “verbally stated that he would kill the complainant by stabbing them.”
The complainant, who was not identified, also “alleged that Adams had acted in a confrontational and aggressive manner toward them during past interactions, causing the complainant to believe their personal safety was at risk,” state police said.
Troopers spoke with the supervisor who was present when Adams allegedly made threatening verbal statements about causing physical harm to the complainant; Adams was not present during the conversation with the troopers, police said.
“According to the supervisor, Adams said that he ‘can’t be around’ the complainant, that he was going to ‘kill’ the complainant and ‘I’m going to stab [the complainant]’, and that the incident was considered a workplace violence incident,” state police said.
Adams voluntarily went to Troop K and spoke with investigators about the incident, and then was arrested, state police said.
Adams is charged with second-degree threatening and is free on a $2,500 non-surety bond, state police said. Adams is scheduled to be arraigned at Superior Court in Norwich on March 2, state police said
