Donlin, Richard T.

Richard T. Donlin, 72, of New Britain, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. He was the beloved husband of the late Susan (Boisvert) Donlin. Born and raised in Hartford, he was the son of the late Raymond Edward Donlin and Josephine (Borowski) Donlin. Rich and Sue resided in Newington for many years, where they raised their family. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Rich was an avid fan of Uconn Women's basketball and a collector of nutcrackers of all shapes and sizes.

He was a devoted father and grandfather and leaves three children, Kristin Donlin of Greenwich, Colleen Signori and husband Jeff of New Britain, and Corey Donlin and wife Lindsay of Simsbury, and three grandchildren, Jacob, Erin and Kyle Donlin. He also leaves his brother William Donlin of Rocky Hill, his sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews, as well as his best friend and beloved dog Guinness. He was predeceased by his daughter Kerri Donlin and brother Kenneth Donlin. His family would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and home healthcare professionals of Hartford Healthcare for their support and care over the last year.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, March 13, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington. He will be laid to rest beside Sue and Kerri in Rose Hill Memorial Park (Sec. 21), Rocky Hill, on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 11:30 am, with military honors.
