Pool, splash pad is right for Newington

- — Jay Bottalico, chairperson of the Newington Parks and Recreation Board, and Don Woods, vice-chairperson of the Newington Parks and Recreation Board

Dear fellow residents of Newington: As members of the Newington Parks and Recreation Board, we are writing to urge you to lend your voice to the effort to build the new Mill Pond family destination pool with a splash pad on Garfield Street. This exciting project will bring a much-needed addition to our community, and we need your vocal support to make it a reality.

While we have been working tirelessly to make this project a success, we need the support of our community to ensure that it comes to fruition. We need you to speak up and let our elected officials and other community leaders know that this project is important to you and your family.

The new Mill Pond family destination pool will provide a fun and safe place for our community to come together and enjoy the outdoors. It will have a variety of water features and amenities, such as a diving board, a slide, and a climbing wall, to ensure that everyone has a great time. The splash pad will provide a unique and interactive experience for children of all ages and will be open from April 1 to Oct. 31.

But we cannot do this alone. We need your help to make sure that our elected officials hear our voices and understand how much this project means to our community. We need you to attend town hall meetings and speak out in favor of this project. We need you to write letters and emails to your elected officials and let them know that you support the new Mill Pond family destination pool on Garfield Street.

Together, we can make this project a reality and create a space that will enhance the quality of life for our community for years to come. Please speak up. Let your voice be heard. Let’s make the new Mill Pond family destination pool with a splash pad a reality.

Thank you for your continued support.
