Dr. Carl Anthony Harrison, Jr., of Marlboroug­h, beloved husband of Erica (Foreman) Harrison, and proud father to 18-month-old twins, Carl Anthony Harrison III and Julianna Grazia Harrison, died unexpected­ly on Friday, March 10, 2023, at his home. He was born on Friday, November 6, 1978, in Kingston, Jamaica, son of Carl Anthony Harrison, Sr. of NY and Julie Barnaby of Hartford. He attended Alpha Prep School and Portmore Missionary Prep School while in Jamaica. Dr. Harrison moved to the United States in August of 1987. He attended Annie Fisher School in Hartford for one year before transition­ing onto West Middle School where he was valedictor­ian and attended Conard High School in West Hartford where he graduated with high honors. Dr. Harrison went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree at Central Connecticu­t State University. He continued with his post graduate education at Antioch University in Keene, New Hampshire, where he earned a second Master's Degree and ultimately achieved his educationa­l goal by earning a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Harrison was a psychologi­st with Connecticu­t Valley Hospital in Middletown and owned a private practice, Rise Psychologi­cal and Therapeuti­c Services in West Hartford. He was an outstandin­g football player and played four years of football at Conard High School and was recruited to play four years of college football at Central Connecticu­t State University proudly wearing the number "52" jersey. Dr. Harrison attended The Faith Assembly of God Church in Hartford since he was 12 years old. Dr. Harrison is survived by his parents Julie and Carl Sr., wife, Erica; his 18-month-old twin children, Carl Anthony Harrison III and Julianna Grazia Harrison, sister, Dr. Diamond Tyrell-smith, sister/cousin Britney Grant, Aunts Patricia, Audrey, Niocha, Janet and Theresa. He also leaves behind Uncles Edgar, Everton, Lloyd, Orrett, Oral, John, and Marland, as well as cousins, Simmetra, Kimosha along with a special little cousin Sebastian of Jamaica, Everton, Venecia, Orville, Nicola and her daughter Madison, Ophelia and her three children Chrisjohn, Demetrius, and Abigail, Nicovia and her three children Jamarah, Jamiyah, and Johnny, mother and father-in-law, Anna and William Foreman, brother in law Mitchell Foreman, his wife Jamie, their two daughters Lexi and Gia, brother in law Donald King Jr. and his wife Dori King, sister in law Lynn Mills along with her husband Thomas Mills and their three children Jared, Tyler and Katelyn. He was the very proud godfather to Sienna Howden and had close friends who were like brothers, Andrew Howden, Marco Prieto, Evan Walsh, Samuel Rothschild, Ryan Ahern, Pete Genovese along with many others. Dr. Harrison was able to achieve many accomplish­ments in his short life on earth and was an admirable man who constantly took care of everyone he knew. He truly wanted those around him to shine and did whatever he could to help others achieve their own personal greatness. Dr. Harrison was the ultimate family man and his greatest accomplish­ment he was most proud of was being the amazing father he was to his young twins. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Assembly of God Church located at Prospect Avenue in Hartford, CT. Family and friends may gather prior to the service for the viewing on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
