Borchetta, Frank

Frank Borchetta, 88, of Windsor Locks, beloved husband of the late Jane (Pastormerlo) Borchetta, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. He was born in Greenwich, CT on February 17, 1935. Frank honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. A long time resident of Windsor Locks, he was a teacher for over 50 years. He taught at Windsor Locks High School until his retirement in 2016, and later at Asnuntuck Community College. Frank also was an active parishioner of Mary Gate Heaven Parish; he taught religious education for 50 years, directed the Youth Choir for 25 years, and was the last surviving member of the first St Mary's Parish Council. Frank was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, and an avid Yankee fan.

He leaves behind his son, David Borchetta and his wife Theresa of Windsor Locks; his daughter Theresa Ann Borchetta of Madison, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to his beloved wife Jane, Frank was predeceased by his parents, Charles Borchetta his biological father, stepfather Dominick Labruzza, and Virginia (Servidio) Borchetta Labruzza; his brother, Bill Borchetta, and his sister, Geraldine Butterfield.

Frank's family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7 pm on Monday, March 27, 2023 at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 52 S Elm St. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
