Kelly, Bridget "Delia" Barat

Bridget “Delia” Barat Kelly, entered into the peace of eternal rest on March 21, 2023 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Bridget, surrounded by friends and family finally reached peace of body and soul at her home.

Bridget was born on August 8th, 1962 and raised in Hartford, CT. She received her B.A. degree from Rosemont College, her Masters Degree in Psychology from Marymount University, and her DMSC from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Working as a Physician Assistant, Bridget dedicated her life to healing the people of Hartford at the Bergdorf Health Center for over 26 years. She was beloved by patients and coworkers alike. She devoted her life to the well-being of not only her patients, but her family and friends as well. Over the course of her work she was known as the “go-to” person capable of diagnosing the toughest of ailments, and even continued to do so as she entered the final stage of her life.

She is survived by her son, Ryan P. Kelly and her parents, Susan and Peter Kelly of Middle Haddam, CT, her siblings and their spouses Peter G. Kelly Jr. and Kimberly Kelly of Canterbury, Matthew J. Kelly and Sue K. Kelly of Pleasant Valley, Paula K. Galanti and Livio A. Galanti of Southlake, TX, and her many nieces and nephews Peter Kelly III, John Kelly, Rebecca Kelly, Gabriel Galanti and his fiancée Emily Purdon, Jennifer Lineaweaver, Ryan, Nate, and Kate Gallagher.

A wake will be held on Sunday, March 26th, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 PM at the Church of St. Paul at S.S. Isidore and Maria Parish, 2577 Main St., Glastonbury, CT. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 27th, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Church of St. Paul at S.S. Isidore and Maria Parish. Interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery shall be in private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Malta House of Care, Inc., 136 Farmington Avenue, CT 06105.
