Martin, Brian Michael

-

Brian Michael Martin, 34, of Bolton, passed away far too soon on Monday, March 27, 2023. He was born in Hartford on November 15, 1988, and was the son of Michael R. Martin, Sr., of Coventry, and the late Linda (Goulet) Martin. Wishing to follow in his father's footsteps, Brian graduated from Windham Technical High School Class of 2006, studying to be an electrician like his father. He worked alongside his father and siblings as Construction Manager and Lead Electrician in their family-owned business, M&M Electric Inc. in Bolton.

While a man of few words, Brian possessed a personality and heart larger than life. Brian was far more than a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend – he was the epitome of a beautiful human being. Following in his mother's footsteps, he was the glue to a family marred by tragedy. He was always ready with a helping hand whenever asked, no matter the circumstances, and more importantly, he was always ready to bring laughter, joy, and heartfelt love to all in his presence. He will be remembered as a hardworking, caring, and giving man who enjoyed the fun things in life and loved his family more than anything. Brian had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to joke around and make people laugh. He especially loved family gatherings and making fun of his older brother, Kevin. But more than anything else, Brian was selfless. He would help anyone in need and never asked for anything in return. He was a kind soul, and while he will be sorely missed, he leaves a legacy of magnificent memories that will live in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Brian loved fishing in his younger years; he enjoyed golfing with his friends and brothers and watching sports, especially hockey. He enjoyed watching movies, boating on Coventry Lake, island music, riding his motorcycle, and traveling with his family and friends. But, above all, Brian had two great loves beyond his family and friends; he loved playing cards and will always be remembered for his love of food. Whether he was bringing breakfast wraps over in the morning, making sure he marinated chicken thighs for a cookout, heading to Longhorn, or making sure he had his sweets, he was always a character when it came to making sure everyone was full and happy. But more than anything, Brian just enjoyed being around his family and close friends.

Brian is survived by his father, Michael R. Martin, Sr., and his significant other, Heidi Diehl of Coventry; four siblings, Michael R. Martin, Jr. and his wife Renee of FL; Kevin RL Martin and his wife Bianca of Gloucester, MA, Cory Martin of Parlin, NJ, and Lisa Martin of Coventry. He also leaves behind to mourn his passing his Godfather, Robbie Goulet and his wife, Christine; his aunt, Debbie Labelle and husband Rick; his nephew, Michael J. Martin; his niece, Caroline Martin; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends may join the family for calling hours TODAY, Friday, March 31, 2023, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Ladd-turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road, Vernon, CT.
