For 2023 models, consumers are leaning in multiple ways. Whether is be towards the EV world, Hybrid or even PHEV versions for vehicles, there are those who also want to stick with gas powered engines which the market still offers.

But for big power, Cadillac is knocking on doors and expanding their moderately popular V-series program from their sedan fleet to their flagship. I give you the 2023 Cadillac Escalade V 4WD. With a monster price tag, the behemoth of an SUV has seating for 7, 2nd row captains chairs, a tall and boasted exterior and unfathomable power at your loafers. The 2023 Escalade V offers a handcrafted, hand-signed, turbocharged 6.2L V8 engine producing an enormous 682 horsepower and 653 lb-ft of torque. Enabling the V button on the center console, also boasts selective features to enhance exhaust sounds similar to a Corvette and other suspension and interior appearance adjustments.

Unlike their first generation from 1999, the 2023 version offers premium technologies that are at the forefront for Cadillac. Historically, the Escalade was an upscale Suburban with similar finishes, but now we notice the opposite. A 16.8 OLED infotainment screen sits perfectly in the center stack while a 14.2 inch digital instrument cluster is present. Rear seat entertainment, heads up display, sunroof, wireless charging are just a few of the standout features, but we noticed a nicely equipped tester with some nice options.

Our 2023 Escalade V came with Super Cruise; Cadillac’s autonomous driving system that far exceeds others in the industry today. Similar to Volvo, Cadillac has it figured out when it comes to autonomy. Did I mention the center console refrigerator with freezer? Yup, for $700 more you have an option for, well anything you want to keep cold.

In Grasso’s Garage, Cadillac is always a craving; not only for me to test them, but for you the reader! It always seems that Cadillac vehicles bring the most conversation amongst readers and the Escalade V will be no different. As you enjoy this Cadillac and its offerings, keep in mind one thing, this is not for everyone. For the upscale family who has a lot to carry and needs the space for cargo and passengers, a lot of vehicle surface, but ones who want that and the power of the V handcrafted engine, the Escalade is one monster of a choice.
