Mildred “Millie” (Lainey) Dubois, 97 of Bristol, beloved wife of the late Gilman Dubois, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2023 in her home. Millie was born on June 10, 1926 in Fort Kent, Maine and was the daughter of the late Aplhy and Alice Lainey. Millie loved spending 6 months in Florida, playing cards, bowling and spending time with her dear friends and especially her family. Millie was a devout catholic and everyone knew not to call her until 10AM after her daily rosary and mass that she watched every day on EWTN. Millie sadly leaves her children Patricia Bakaysa, Nola Miller and her husband Charles, J. Phyllis Belanger and her husband Ronald, Philip Dubois and his wife Laura and Michele Dubois. Millie also leaves her 8 cherished grandchild­ren and 14 great-grandchild­ren; brother Leo James Lainey of KY and several nieces and nephews who love and will miss her dearly. Besides her parents and husband, Mildred is predecease­d by her brothers Harold, Joseph, Roderick, Gilman and John Lainey, a sister Mabel Lachance and son-in-law Michael J. Bakaysa. Her presence will be deeply missed but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Christian Appalachia­n Project, www.christiana­pp. org or the EWTN Global Catholic Network, 5817 Old Leeds Road Irondale, AL 35210. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 directly at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave. Bristol at 10AM. Burial will be held privately.
