Larson should ride off into the sunset
I was astonished by the audacity of Rep. John Larson's comment that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “is failing his country and the region.” [Dec. 20, Page 1, “Larson says Netanyahu ‘failing his country'”].
Suddenly, Rep. Larson has become a military strategist, calling for a pause in fighting. This would only allow Hamas to reconstitute itself and continue the fighting. Apparently, Rep. Larson has forgotten about the unimaginable atrocities inflicted upon the Israeli people, Americans and people from other countries.
Connecticut U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal along with Sen. Joni Ernst, a Republican from Iowa, are offering bipartisan legislation to impose meaningful sanctions on Iran, which is providing the financial backing to Hamas via equipment, supplies and training. This is the common-sense solution to the very existence of Hamas.
Rep. Larson has his own issues of failing this country and the region by his woke and progressive policies. Since the Biden Administration took office his open border policy has led to record numbers of [undocumented immigrants] entering our country. In the first 20 days of December over 200,000 have entered the country and upwards of 13 million are now in our country, along with an untold number of “got-aways” and terrorists.
Rep. Larson would serve us well if he concentrated on this serious national security issue rather than telling Prime Minister Netanyahu how to win his war on terrorism.
Maybe Rep. Larson could do us all a favor and return to his previous teaching occupation.
On second thought, that wouldn't be such a good idea, as he would only be indoctrinating our young people with his woke and progressive agenda. After all, he already threw the young women participating in sports under the proverbial bus by voting against House Resolution 734, the Protection of Woman and Girls in Sports Act. This resolution would have prohibited those educational institutions receiving federal funding from allowing biological males to compete with female athletes. Perhaps riding off in the sunset would be the best option.
