Anan Natarajan, 58, of South Glastonbur­y, beloved husband for 18 years of Stephanie Antriasian, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2023, at St. Francis Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Kandy, Sri Lanka on April 7, 1965, son of Narayanan Natarajan, MD and Subbulaksk­mi Natarajan, he immigrated to the United States with his family as a young boy and was raised in North Brunswick, NJ. After graduating from North Brunswick High School with the Class of 1983, he continued his education at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA where he received his bachelor's degree in biology. Anan later returned to school at Rutgers University where he received his MBA with a concentrat­ion in finance.

Anan started his career at Johnson & Johnson Orthomcnei­l Pharmaceut­ical as a scientist in the Molecular Biology and Biochemist­ry Division. Throughout his career, Anan worked in strategy and operations, marketing and sales, and product and business developmen­t in the medical and surgical device industry. He worked for many start-ups throughout the United States and abroad in a variety of capacities and provided consulting services for medical device companies throughout the world.

In his spare time, Anan enjoyed playing tennis and golf, biking, going on trips with his family, and playing the piano. He loved being around his family and friends and enjoyed hosting gatherings at his home where he would barbecue for his guests. A very detail-oriented person, Anan could fix anything and routinely worked on everything from home projects to repairing cars. He had the natural talent and understand­ing of an engineer and loved to learn new things.

In addition to his loving wife Stephanie, he leaves a daughter, Anjali Armine Natarajan of South Glastonbur­y; his parents, Narayanan Natarajan, MD and his wife Kamala Natarajan, MD of San Diego, CA, and Subbulaksh­mi Natarajan of Bellevue, WA; two brothers, Sundar Natarajan, MD of Florence, SC and Krish Natarajan and his wife Melissa of Snoqualmie, WA; a brother-in-law, Ron Antriasian of Bedford, MA; a sisterin-law, Adele Kohler of Sarasota, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

His family will receive friends on Thursday, January 11, 10-11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor.
