Stanley J. Deptula, 86, of Sun City Center, FL, formerly of Hartford, CT, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2024 with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Lucille (Marshall) Deptula for 67 years. Stanley was born in Poland on March 23, 1937, son of the late Henry and Helen (Obremska) Deptula. After high school, Stanley joined the U.S. Airforce and was honorably discharged after serving our country. He went on to lead a successful career and retired from General Electric as an Electrical Engineer. Stanley was a member of Saint Anne's Church, Ruskin, FL and was a member of the Polish National Men's Club. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors either fishing or golfing. He was also an excellent woodworker. Stanley will be remembered most as a family man. He was a loving husband, father, grandfathe­r, great grandfathe­r, brother and friend to many.

Along with his wife Lucille, Stanley is survived by his sons Stephen Deptula, of South Carolina, David Deptula, of South Carolina, Paul Deptula and his wife Tricia, of Massachuse­tts and Christophe­r Deptula and his wife Lisa, of Florida; and grandchild­ren Benjamin, Michael, Zachary, Ryan, Nathan, Braeton, and Emerson. He is also survived by his sister Kazia Czerwinski of New Britain; sister-in-law Jeanette Lavallee, of California and several nieces and nephews. Stanley was predecease­d by his brother Henry Deptula and his wife Irene, Louis Deptula and his wife Lorraine; his sisters Stella Swirzewski and her husband Michael, Gladys Dabrowski and her husband Stanley, brother-in-law Matthew Czerwinski, and his grandson Samuel Deptula. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial celebratin­g Stanley's life on Saturday, January 27th at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St., New Britain. He will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain.
