Lindstedt, Constance Bouchard
In Loving Memory of Constance “Connie” Bouchard Lindstedt 04/06/1941-01/03/2024 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Connie B. Lindstedt of Naples, FL (formerly of Watertown, MA, Simsbury/avon and Farmington, CT) on January 3, 2024, at the age of 82, with her husband Nils by her side. Born on April 6, 1941, in Watertown, MA, Connie was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph A. Lussier and Celia Bouchard Lussier. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph A. Lussier, Jr., and her sister Jeanne C. Lockwood.
Connie married the love of her life, Nils Lindstedt, in 2004, and they enjoyed many years of adventures together, particularly relishing entertaining friends and family and traveling. A favorite journey was to Nils's native Sweden, where Connie had the pleasure of meeting several of his relatives. They also reveled in cruises to Europe, the Caribbean, and the Panama Canal just last year. Despite enduring a stroke three years ago, Connie continued to savor her time with Nils, whose extraordinary love and care enabled her to remain in her own home until her final hospitalization. In addition to Nils, Connie leaves her stepchildren, Deborah Lindstedt of Unionville, CT and Randy Lindstedt (Robin) also of Unionville. She was predeceased by her stepson, Michael Lindstedt.
A graduate of Watertown High School (1959) and Endicott College, Connie was a successful career woman long before it became fashionable. Among others, Connie held administrative positions at Harvard School of Business, Covenant Insurance, and, most recently, Weiss Multi-strategy Advisors in Hartford, CT, from which she retired in 2004.
Adjectives that have often been used to describe Connie are classy, stylish, and kind. She consistently looked like a model in every photograph! Connie was an accomplished chef, always experimenting with and refining new recipes that subsequently became family classics. She loved entertaining, and her gatherings were distinguished by her meticulous attention to coordinated details. Her talent for interior decorating was widely admired, and she relished welcoming friends and family to her home.
Connie was affectionately known as “the fairy princess Aunt” by her five nieces and nephews, always arriving at gatherings dressed fashionably and impeccably, bearing generous, beautifully wrapped gifts and homemade treats. She will be dearly missed by Ann Marie Lockwood (Peach) of Hopedale, MA, Kathy Mahon (David) of West Palm Beach, FL, Paul J Lockwood (Theresa) of Silver Spring, MD, Marybeth Hans (Billy) of Boston, MA, and Janet C. Roa (Daren) of Queensland, Australia, as well as her eight grand nieces and nephews, Billy, Celia, Joey, AJ, Bella, Sam, Luke, and Camille. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 24th, 2024 at 1:00pm in The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville, CT. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 in memory of Connie Lindstedt.
