Poulin, Michael G.

Michael Gerard Poulin, 78, of West Hartford, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Thursday, February, 15, 2024 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Patricia “Trish” (Kelly) Poulin for over 53 years. Born in Putnam, he was one of 15 children of the late Charles and Bella (Beausoliel) Poulin. He met his adored wife at Society for Savings Bank and they married in 1971. Mike enjoyed a successful career in advertising sales, which allowed him to retire in 1989. He was a lifelong proud pet parent and lover. You could find him dabbling in the stock market, creating custom woodworking projects or watching the various wildlife visits in the backyard. He also enjoyed spending time in Cape Cod. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Along with his wife Trish, he leaves his son Matthew Poulin and his wife Kristen of Berlin, and his brother Maurice, and sisters Lorraine Leclaire, Rose Marie Chicione, Sandra Keating, Corrine Freeman as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves his adored grandpups, Prince and Pippi. He was predeceased by his brothers Leonard, David, Richard, Edward, and Paul, and sisters Jackie Maynard, Lucille Smutnick, Barbara Sherwood, and Shirley Humes. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington.
