Magisano, Giuseppe
Giuseppe Magisano, 90, of New Port Richey, FL, and previously of New Britain, passed away on Friday (February 23, 2024). He was born on July 1, 1933 to the late Domenico and Concetta Magisano in Chiaravalle Centrale, Prov. Catanzaro Italy. He immigrated to the United States on November 4th 1964 with his family. Living in New Britain until his retirement he and his wife made Newport Richey Florida their home where they enjoyed the beach, playing cards and dinner dances with their numerous friends.
When first in the United States, he worked at Fafnir but was most known as a familiar figure as a talented tailor at the Sears Men’s suit department where he proudly worked until his retirement. One of his greatest joys was Sunday and family dinners where all gathered to enjoy his wife’s cooking and baking and laughter with those around the table. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife, Lina (Sgro) Magisano; his children, Concetta Adams, Dominic Magisano (Lorraine), Frank Magisano (Cindy); grandchildren, Samantha (Kevin Sullivan) and Christina Adams, Jason Magisano (Laura), Nick Magisano (Vanessa), Geoff Magisano (Ali); great grandchildren, Lacie, Alyssa, Riley and Gino; and several nieces and nephews in the US, Canada and Italy. He was predeceased by his sister, Caterina Gulli; brother, Angiulino Magisano; his parents, in-laws, Francesco and Barbara Sgro, son-in-law, Harold Adams; and brother-in- law, Antonio Sgro.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 11:30 AM in St. Paul Church, 485 Alling Street, Kensington. Committal and final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1141 Stanley St. New Britain. Family and friends are invited to call at the Shaker-hill Funeral Home (Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home), 764 Farmington Ave, New Britain on Tuesday from 8:45AM to 10:45AM just prior to the mass.
