Drouin, Robert T.

-

With heavy hearts, we announce the tragic passing of Robert T. Drouin on February 24, 2024. He was a devoted, hard-working, father, and grandfather. He possessed a multitude of talents, and could always be counted on to lend a hand and share his skills.

Born in New Britain on February 1, 1963, he was the youngest of three sons to Frances (Reale) Drouin. As his parents got older, he took on the responsibility of caring for them in their home. In honor of his father, Roland W. Drouin, every day he would watch his favorite TV show, “Gunsmoke”.

Raised and educated in Berlin, he earned his trade certificate in mechanics and was known for his strong work ethics and meticulous nature. He worked for many years at Lescare Kitchens in Southington and England Book Co. in Farmington. A "neat freak," he took great pride in keeping both his home and yard immaculate, and was a jack of all trades who graciously helped others. In the company of his family, Robert found solace and joy, and he cherished the time spent with his children dearly. From frequent trips to Yankee Stadium to games of bowling and watching sports on TV, he often went the extra mile to ensure the happiness of those around him. He created many joyous memories and will be missed immensely.

He is survived by his children, twins Jennifer Lee Drouin and Robert Thomas Drouin, Jr, Brittany Frances Drouin and Angelo Joseph Perugini, III; his grandchildren Zaire Kash Armstrong, Renford Mckinley, Jr., and Kylie Elianna Mendes; his brother, Richard Drouin; his former wife, Maria (Depina) Drouin; his sister-in-law Terese Drouin; and his nieces, nephews, and their families. He is now reunited with his brother and best friend, Ronald, as well as his father Roland.

Family and friends may gather on Tuesday March 5, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St, Plainville. Prayers and words of remembrance will be shared at 6:30 p.m. He will be laid to rest privately. For online expressions of sympathy, please visit www. Plainvillefuneralhome.com
