Nazlian, Donald Alan

Donald Alan Nazlian was born on December 18, 1936 in Hartford CT to Grace (Westhaven) and Hagop Nazlian. He grew up in Warehouse Point, New Britain and Windsor CT. Donald was the last living survivor of the 11 children born to Grace and Hagop. (He was predeceased by: Millie, Ralph, Rosalie, Margarie Grace, Hazel, Isabel, Chipman, John and Dorothy.) Donald met Mary Corriveau at a friend's wedding in 1955. They dated and were married on December 28, 1957. He was working at CH Dexter in Windsor Locks, CT. when he was drafted in 1959 into the Army. When he came back, he was in the Army Reserves. Donald worked for 44 years for CH Dexter and retired in 2002. Donald and Mary enjoyed Ten Pin bowling and were in leagues for many years. In the 1980's they took up Ballroom dancing and had a wonderful time on the dance floor. (He said that she was the better dancer and made him look good). Donald and Mary enjoyed going out to eat and traveling together. Mary passed away of Lung Cancer on June 28, 1992 at the age of 54. Donald enjoyed attending the gym every day, going to dances and golfing with his friends. Donald leaves his daughter Donna Carter and her husband, Michael of Springfield, MA and his son, Paul Nazlian of Enfield, CT. Funeral services for Donald will be private at the convenience of the family at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, MA.
